Concept:
This sculpture was put together to show that we live in a constructed environment, not a natural environment so we must respect what we designed and take care of what is left of the natural environment. The black granite pillars are the dams on the Columbia, the white marble salmon are ghosts as they no longer are in the upper Columbia and the river rocks are from streams around the Columbia Basin. The glass rocks on top simulate the living environment as fragile but colorful, always changing.
Pat is looking for a place to donate this wonderful piece of art
