We now live in a constructed environment. We can have a good quality of life, have fun and do something for the environment. "We have been playing god for our own immediate satisfaction and now it is time to design the future to take care of what we have for future generations. If we could create a new myth of living sustainably, we might just provide that sense of purpose and unity that is bigger than ourselves, that gives us a central purpose and meaning for our being. Artists have a lot to offer communities on environmental issues to act on. They can evoke the emotional responses that natural sciences sometimes falls short on.
