CONCEPT
This small abstract white marble dove on a black marble base is a classic Field sculpture. The soft contours are designed so that your hands can touch all the surfaces. Pat designed this piece after one bright spring morning walk on the Columbia River. He is grateful to live in British Columbia and have the opportunity to be able to walk in the woods and experience the connections we have nature.
Pat has committed 20% of all his web sales to go back to conservation in
British Columbia to provide some contribution back to the place where he lives. This sculpture is hand sanded to 1800 wet and dry and is as smooth as silk. Your touching over years will create a unique patina. There are many ways to treat sculptures and Pat likes some of his pieces, especially the table top sized sculptures, to just have natural patinas develop over time through the gentle continuous touching of the wildlife he has stylized. |
